Cedar County Raceway set to hostFall Bash this weekend (1)

TIPTON, Iowa (Oct. 1, 2024) – Darkside Promotions (Tim Current and Ryan Duhme) is anxious to promote the Fall Bash, which has become one of Eastern Iowa’s premier racing events annually.

Cedar County Raceway will host three big days of racing beginning Thursday, Oct. 3 and will continue Friday, Oct. 4 and will wrap up on Saturday, Oct. 5.

Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds race for $1,200 with a $40 entry fee, IMCA Sunoco Late Models for $1,000 with a $30 entry fee, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $750 to win with a $25 entry fee, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods for $500 to win with a $20 entry fee and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $350 to win and no entry fee on Thursday.

On Friday, Modifieds race for $1,500 to win with a $50 entry fee, Stock Cars race for $1,200 to win with a $40 entry fee, SportMods race for $1,000 to win with a $30 entry fee and Hobby Stocks race for $500 to win with a $20 entry fee.

Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $13 for seniors and teens, $5 for kids ages 7-12 and free for six and under both nights. Pit gates open at 3 p.m. with the drivers’ meeting at 6:15 p.m. and racing at 6:30 p.m.

And on Saturday, Modifieds race for $3,000 to win with a $100 entry fee, Stock Cars race for $1,500 to win with a $50 entry fee, SportMods race for $1,200 to win with a $40 entry fee and Hobby Stocks race for $750 to win with a $25 entry fee.

Gates open at 1 p.m. with the drivers’ meeting at 5:15 p.m. and racing at 5:30 p.m. Spectator admission is $20 for adults, $17 for seniors and teens, $10 for students and free for six and under.

Pit passes are $35 all three nights.

All three Modified features are qualifying events for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational, all three Stock Car features qualifying events for the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational.

Modified drivers will be gunning for thelion’s share of the Paula Meyer point fund, which will award over $11,000 to the drivers who earn the most points over the course of the three nights of racing. The overall champion will receive a whopping $2,000 on top of their prize money earned.

An open practice will be held from 6:30-10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2 and allow fans to come out to the free grandstands and get a sneak preview of some of the race cars that will be in action over the course of the weekend.Pit passes that evening are $25.

In addition to the hot racing action, live music will be held nightly on the Cedar County Fairgrounds. Camping is available on the grounds and can be reserved by contacting the Cedar County Fairgrounds atwww.TheCedarCountyFair.com.

Cedar County Fair show pays IMCA Modified winner $2,000

TIPTON, Iowa – IMCA Modifieds provide the blue ribbon fair entertainment in a $2,000 to win event Thursday, July 11 at Cedar County Raceway. The Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier pays a minimum of $130 to start; there is no entry fee for the draw/redraw show and IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Side Biter Chassis North Central Region and E3 Spark Plugs State points will be awarded. A non-qualifier feature pays $300 to win and $75 to start; the winner of that event has the option of taking the $300 or starting in the back of the main event field. The grandstand at Tipton will be open all day. Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and racing starts at 6:30 p.m. Pit passes are $30. Spectator admission is free with purchase of admission to the grounds, $8 before 4 p.m. and $12 after 4 p.m. Parking at the fairgrounds is free. Cedar County canceled this weekend

TIPTON, Iowa (April 4, 2024) – Point the finger at wet weather and resulting wet grounds, following cancellation of the scheduled April 5 and 6 Spring Fling at Cedar County Raceway. Instead, three IMCA divisions visit Tipton for the first time this season on Thursday, April 18, running with the MLRA at the Darkside Promotions’ Hawkeye Land 40. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds vie for $1,000 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars chase $750 to win and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility, and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods run for $500 to win.
